Pragmafix is a server-based software platform that provides training, manuals and technical documentation for mobile phone and laptop repair professionals. The project was launched on September 11, 2020 by a company that grew out of the Micromedia Institute of Mobile Phone Technicians in Malang (Indonesia), with more than twenty-three years of experience in training, publishing books and graduating thousands of specialists. The platform has official permission to use manufacturers' diagrams as educational material. The course is aimed at both beginners and experienced professionals, allowing you to deepen your knowledge and hone your skills.
Main components of the platform:
- Thousands of electrical circuit diagrams and layout drawings (layout) in two-window mode, synchronized with each other;
- Thousands of PCB bitmaps (real bitmaps) and original Protel/Altium files, including multi-layer display with layer-by-layer via routing;
- Thousands of printed pages of mobile phone and laptop repair books written by company management and available in English, Indonesian, Hindi and Farsi;
- Hundreds of hours of training videos on hardware and software repair;
- Thousands of datasheets for integrated circuits and components, service manuals and functional block diagrams;
- Interactive circuit tracking: automatically drawn connection lines with a list of test points (net names), grouped by fault category, and voltage drop values for seven types of multimeters;
- Hardware tools of our own design (PMA with Bluetooth and RPS with cable connection), integrated into the Pragmafix interface to display measurement results: diode test, resistance, voltage, current consumption in graphical form;
- Fault Finder is an automated guide that compares measurement results at test points with reference data from the database and indicates the necessary further steps;
- Collections of firmware/flash files, circuit diagrams for laptops and desktop PCs, as well as boardview files.
The platform supports an extensive list of brands of mobile devices (Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, OnePlus, Motorola, Nokia, LG and many others), as well as laptops and desktops (Asus, Acer, Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Sony Vaio, Toshiba, etc.).
The interface and materials are translated into several languages (Indonesian, English, Persian, Hindi), with the ability to add others upon request. Access to all resources is provided by subscription, which, according to the developers, covers the costs of servers, research, schematic creation, circuit tracking and support. The Pragmafix community has more than 30 thousand registered technicians.
The platform is positioned as a “personal mentor” for the master, combining theory, practical guides, interactive circuit diagrams and hardware and software measurement solutions into a single ecosystem.
